Cuban Band, "Alma En Clave", spoke with Key Records moments after their performance at Iberostar Hotel Playa Alameda in Varedero, Cuba. The band which formed 8 months earlier plays cover tunes as well as their own original compositions. When Key Records spoke to the band the members had just booked some recording time in a recording studio. Band members are; (Giselle...Guitarra y Voz) (Yoli...Percusion y Voz) (Yanela...Bajo) (Michel...Tres) and (Dayana...Flauta).
Varedero, Cuba
Cuban bands and musicians working in the Varedero area perform for tourists who come from all corners of the globe. The Cuban performers often work for one of the Hotel Chains, performing at each Hotel once a week as part of a rotating circuit. The performers rotate Hotels so that they are always entertaining the new tourist arrivals each week. Many of the bands have CD's of their music available for sale, so be sure to ask the band if you would like to purchase one.
